September is Hispanic Heritage Month, and the Chicago White Sox had a special guest to throw out the first pitch. El Rey de la Accordion, Ramon Ayala, was invited to throw the first pitch in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 19.

The Chicago White Sox celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month.

The White Sox played the San Diego Padres last week. Ayala's walk-out song was probably his second most iconic hit, "Puno de Tierra." What an incredible moment for our culture.
Ayala will continue his farewell tour with stops in San Antonio on October 4 and Houston on October 11.

Ramon Ayala gets his own day in Chicago.

On top of throwing the first pitch at the game, the mayor of Chicago also named September 20, 2025, "Ramon Ayala Day." Celebrating Ayala's influence on Regional Mexican and his huge impact on Latin Culture.

Ramon Ayala also threw a first pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers

This wasn't the first time Ramon Ayala has thrown a first pitch at a Major League Baseball game. Back in 2023, Ramon Ayala also threw a first pitch at Dodger Stadium to which he walked out the "Tragos Amargos," which is probably his most iconic hit.
