Sierra Nevada Beer Co. Issues 36 State Recall
Attention beer drinkers (and hellraisers if that applies to you) the Sierra Nevada Beer Company has issued a massive 36 state recall on some of their bottled beer due to concerns part of the glass bottle may actually chip off. And nobody wants broken glass in their beer.
The recall does effect Texas and all beers sold under the names Beer Camp Golden IPA, Sidecar Orange Pale Ale, Torpedo Extra IPA, Tropical Torpedo, Nooner, Hop Hunter Otra Vez and their flagship IPA.
The company said an inspection of its brewery in Mills River, North Carolina, "detected a very limited number of bottles with a flaw that may cause a small piece of glass to break off and possibly fall into the bottle, creating a risk for injury."
Sierra Nevada is based in Chico, California and bottles from that facility are safe and marked with a "C". However, the plant in Mills River is producing the bottles in question and those are marked with an "M". If you have one of those bottles return it to where it was purchased from for a full refund.
