Tom Brady gained another ring-making this his 7th Super Bowl win, an all-time record; Bruce Arians, at 68, became the oldest head coach to lead a Super Bowl win.

For Florida, one record hit closest to home and brought pride that will live on forever. This win completely crushed the Super Bowl curse as Tampa Bay became the first team to win a Super Bowl on the home turf.

Of course, this cause for celebration had the streets of Tampa jam-pack and booming with fans post-game. Local hot spots and bars were filled as people recapped and celebrated their home team's huge victory.

But not everyone was so happy. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor was highly disappointed and frustrated at the lack of safety precautions fans were taking. Numerous photos are circulating online of fans celebrating, and masks are scarce and at the very least. Safety measures and protocols were broken. After all the work Mayor Castor went through to make the Super Bowl LV a hit in her city, she was less than enthusiastic about the aftermath. Castor told the Super Bowl Host Committee during a conference, “At this point in dealing with COVID-19, there is a level of frustration when you see that.”

Although some less-than-responsible activity took place in-the-moment, there was at least one bar owner who was making sure he did his part to slow the spread of COVID-19 while providing a fun place to watch the game and celebrate after.

Ducky’s Sports Bar owner, Gio Cruz, went above and beyond to ensure his customers were practicing safe procedures. His bar was open and ready to celebrate, but he made sure to supply sanitizer, check temperatures, and even offered FREE COVID testing-wow! In collaboration with his neighboring business pal, the two wanted to make sure everyone had a place to go to and enjoy themselves safely. Cruz explained, “We wanted to make sure everybody could come out safely and celebrate. We wanted to follow the rules and be compliant and work on making everybody happy.”

Tampa's mayor would approve of Ducky's Bar. While a flurry of maskless crowds filled the city, the mayor is still filled with pride over the win; she said, “This win was from the Buccaneer team, but this win was for our entire community."
