Threesome With Dave Took Place over the Weekend

If you remember our contest for Valentine's Day "Win a Threesome with Dave" then you know that Mary Jenssen won the big grand prize that included a night's stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, A gift card to Hidden Pleasures Boutique, Flowers from Devereaux Gardens, A giant teddy bear, chocolates, car washes the works....it also included dinner for 3 (This is where the threesome part comes in) at Sky Restaurant. And dinner was nothing short of amazing.

I arrived a little early and met with Chef Loc. He told me we were in for a big treat and asked me to follow him to the kitchen. There he showed me the most glorious cut of meat I had ever laid eyes on. A huge Tomahawk steak. My mouth instantly began to water. He showed me to our table and I ordered a drink and chatted with Chef Loc a bit before he headed off to the kitchen and my guests arrived.

Mary and her husband Doug arrived on time and sat down at our wonderfully decorated table made special just for us. Chef Loc then came over and introduced himself and explained the menu and asked if there were any allergies. I'm highly allergic to onion and Mary I found out is gluten intolerant. Loc assured us there would be no onions and our entire dinner was gluten free. Somehow he just knew.

He brought out our appetizers which consisted of delicious fried shrimp but instead of batter, they were battered with rice noodles which gave it an amazing crunch. They were absolutely perfect with the sweet spicy homemade dipping sauce he served with it.

Next came the salad of course. Then, after hearing Mary and Doug talk of a family friend who had tried the tomahawk steak and bragged about it, stated how they would love to try one but never have. They had no idea what they were in for as they had no idea that's exactly what was on the menu for the night.

After a few minutes, Chef Loc and his wait staff brought out the most amazing steak I had ever eaten in my life. Huge tomahawk steaks with asparagus and a baked potato. The steak itself was 2 inches thick and cooked to perfection.

After dinner we were stuffed but Loc had 1 more course for us. A delicious homemade whipped cream and fresh strawberries. It was simply outstanding.

The night ended and we went our separate ways but not before getting to know eachother. Mary and Doug are wonderful people and the conversation kept flowing like we had known each other for years. Overall it was a great night and I'm looking forward to our next dinner contest (and perhaps another steak Chef Loc hint hint).

I want to sincerely thank Chef Loc and the Sky Restaurant and all their staff for taking such great care of us Friday evening. It's plain to see how much Loc is driven by customer satisfaction and it shows in how he presents himself and how he prepares his food. If you want a special dinner, I highly HIGHLY recommend Sky Restaurant. They definitely will not disappoint.
