Today Is 2-22-22 And Here is Why That's A Big Deal Texas

For the last few days everywhere we looked on social media folks were talking about why today is so significant. So it's 2-22-22 but, what does it all mean Texas?

Well, we are here to break it down for y'all!

First things first, it's a 'PALINDROME' date.

And if you don't know what 'palindrome means, it's OKAY, we had to look it up too. Wink.

A palindrome date means simply that you can read the date backward as well as forwards and it reads the same. 2-22-22 and 2-22-22. Yep, I wrote that forwards and backward as a visual just for you.

But here is the thing, 2-22-22 isn't the only palindrome date this week! 

In fact, today is just the start of the palindrome dates you will see for the rest of the month of February. 2-23-22 is a palindrome, 2-24-22, 2-25-22 etc etc. All palindromes. 

Today is literally "Tuesday or Twosday" and there are three times today when the 2's are really going to get out of hand, 2:22 pm and 10:22 p.m. (22:22 military time). That's a whole lotta twos and you won't see it again in this lifetime. 

In fact, this won't happen again for the next 400 years.

So ya, it's a once-in-a-lifetime day, unless, of course, you are into reincarnation or cryogenics, in which case the year 2422 will be celebrated much like today with a lot of specials and deals going in at businesses and some people claiming it's the end of the world as we know it.

Oh, wait, one more thing...

Today's date is also significant because get this, it's a palindrome date for other countries too! No matter what country you are in and how they write their numbers, it's a palindrome day. Did we write the word palindrome enough in this article? LOL
