As a parent, I'm sure you've had to deal with yearly registration hassles for your kids to go to school. It can be time consuming, and it seems like even if you pre-register at the end of the year, you still have to go through the entire process before the start of the new school year. I mean, if all the information remains the same, why can't they just have a single box to check instead of having to fill out all that redundant paperwork? The solution for most parents is now as close as the internet, because the Victoria Independent School District registration process is now available online.

According to school officials, parents of current students should have received a 'snapcode' in a letter and an email during the week of April 9th that can be used to register online. If you have a new student this year, you won't need a code to register. Visit the site at visd.net to register. After doing so, the site will ask you to upload documents such as birth certificates and immunization records. You can also bring them in person. And if you don't have access to computer or other online device, you can contact the school closest to you to set up an appointment, or to get more information.

The V.I.S.D. Student Services Office can also answer any questions you may have at 361-788-9250.

Registration deadline is August 3rd.
