Victoria Islamic Center Fire Ruled Arson. Reward Offered.

The fire that gutted the Victoria Islamic Center on the morning of January 28th has been ruled as arson.

A reward totaling $30,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest or indictment of those responsible for burning the mosque. The Victoria Islamic Center is offering $10,000 of that reward with Crime Stoppers and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives each contributing another $10,000.

Officials believe the fire was set intentionally but was hesitant to say whether it was a biased crime....not really sure how they can tell.

This story has gained nationwide attention and the mosque has raised over $1.1 Million to help in rebuilding thanks to a Go Fund Me page that was set up on their behalf.
