World Series Champion Houston Astros Visit White House
The World Series Champion Houston Astros were honored at the White House yesterday, President Trump calling their win "an incredible victory."
It was the team's first-ever World Series Championship, and the President added that the win was even more special in the wake of Hurricane Harvey's impact on the city of Houston. Trump thanked the team for contributing financially to relief efforts, and for spending time with victims of the hurricane. The President also said the administration will continue to stand by all the victims of the season's devastating storms in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Puerto Rico and others.
The Houston Astros won the World Series in exciting fashion beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in the 7th game of the series.
