WAITING TO SELF CHECKOUT AT WALMART:

The mom was waiting to scan her items in the self-checkout, with her baby in a car seat and her one-year-old son sitting in the cart. At that point, a woman, later identified as Rebecca Taylor, approached her and started to comment about her son's blonde hair and blue eyes.  She asked how much she could purchase him for? Mom thought she was joking and laughed off the comment. She was not joking!  Taylor told her that she had $250,000.00 in the car and she would pay that much for him. Mom said no and then things escalated quickly.  The offer was raised to half a million dollars in the parking lot and a shouting match ensued.  Surveillance footage from Walmart confirmed these allegations. A THIRD-DEGREE FELONY:

Taylor was taken into custody on Jan. 18 and charged with the sale or purchase of a child, a third-degree felony. Punishment could lead to up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $10,000. Even though this seems like a random occurrence, these types of things are happening more often. Please be aware of your surroundings and watch your kids.
