The Houston Texans played a little better yesterday than they did last week, and managed to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 13-12 on a last-second defensive play.

Late in the 4th quarter, the Texans had a 7-point lead but they allowed the Jaguars to move the ball down the field and score a touchdown on a 4-yard pass from rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew to DJ Clark. That pass came after the Jags stayed alive with an 18-yard run on a 4th-and-10 situation. The Jaguars elected to try a 2-point conversion for a win instead of an extra point to tie the game. The Texans managed to stop running back Leonard Fournette from crossing the goal line on the play, and the Texans picked up the win and are now 1-1 in the AFC South.

While the Texans showed a little more defense this week than last week, they still have some work to do on both offense (protecting Deshaun Watson), and in pass defense.

Next up for the Texans, they're on the road to face the L.A. Chargers. Game time is 3:25 pm on Sunday, pregame begins at 2:55 pm on KLUB Classic Rock, 106.9.
