The Houston Texans showed some improvement over last week yesterday in their 27-20 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on their home field.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson used his scrambling ability to keep a play alive, which ended with a TD toss to tight end Jordan Akins, who caught 2 out of 3 Waston TD passes and propelled the Texans to victory.

Thile the offensive line looked better this week, the defense also showed improvement with 5 sacks of Phillip Rivers, 2 of which were by J.J. Watt. As the Texans overcame a deficit in the second half to take the lead, it appeared the Texans pass defense would give up enough yardage to allow the Chargers to be able to tie the game with two 4th down conversions, but an offensive penalty and a couple of incompletions sealed the win for Houston.

Next Sunday, the 2-1 Texans face the 1-2 Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG Stadium. We'll have that game for you on KLUB Classic Rock 106.9 starting with the pregame at 11:30 am.
