With 2008 still fresh in our minds, we may need to be aware of some more torrential storms brewing and possibly heading our way during the Hurricane Season. Most forecasters will work on discovering how many hurricanes there may be, but some like Dale Link focus on where the hurricanes may strike. Dale Link is an engineer who strives in trying to predict what locations are in possible danger from the natural disaster that is hurricanes.

A hurricane, as NASA describes, is a large swirling storm with winds that can rage up to 74mph. If you want an example of that kind of wind speed, next time you're riding with a friend on the highway and he/she is driving up to 75mph put your hand out the window and try to fight the wind current...I'll tell you now its not easy. Be advised, those wind speeds are for the weakest of hurricane categories, which range from Category 1 (74mph winds) to Category 5 (157mph winds...the kind where you come out post storm, look in your now vacant driveway and ask, "Dude, where's my car...and my house?")
