Tom Brady’s Stolen Super Bowl Jersey Found in Mexico
Everybody in America can sleep a little easier tonight because Tom Brady's missing Super Bowl worn jersey has been found. FBI officials in Boston confirmed that the game worn jersey (estimated to be worth about a half million dollars) was found in the possession of Mexican journalist Martin Mauricio Ortega.
Authorities also discovered another Tom Brady Super Bowl worn jersey from SB 49 along with a helmet believed to belong to Denver pass rusher Von Miller..also from a previous Super Bowl.
Oddly enough Ortega resigned last Tuesday citing family health issues as his reasoning (yeah right) and the OEM accepted his resignation. No word on what will happen to Ortega but Houston Police Department classified the crime as a First Degree Felony.
Tom Brady had this to say about the recovery of his jerseys:
"I am happy my jerseys from SB 49 and SB 51 have been recovered, and I want to thank all of the law enforcement agencies involved. I know they worked hard on this case -- and it is very much appreciated. Hopefully when I get the jerseys back I can make something very positive come from this experience,"
