Victoria Parks and Recreation is calling all toddlers to their latest educational program free to tots ages 2 to 5. It's the call of the wild!

Victoria Parks and Recreation continues to add new and exciting programs to their repertoire of events and their latest " Toddlers on the Trail" offered every Wednesday is sure to bring out the kid in everyone!

Registration is open now and this program will be through the month of January.

Registration is free and open to the public for parents with children ages 2 to 5. You must register in person at 532 McCright Drive inside Riverside Park. The program is offered every Wednesday from 10 am to 11 on January 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.

Victoria Parks and Recreation offers that this is a great "hands-on" way to introduce your toddler to nature.

In fact, there are a myriad of reasons why getting outdoors with your child at a young age is crucial to their overall education and well-being. A love of nature, nurtured early in life contributes to healthier lifestyles long-term as well as improving mental health for both the child and parent while outdoors. You don't have to look far to find the research and data offering the benefits of being outdoors with children. Nature even contributes to their intellect as well.

According to MiracleRecreation.com exploring nature not only gives them a stronger sense of autonomy, but it also helps them to learn to use their creative faculties and to problem solve as well.

All of this from just a walk in the park parents!
