Residents whose recycling pickup is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28, may receive service March 1 instead as the City of Victoria is experiencing delays with its recycling pickup due to equipment issues.

The City will finish picking up recycling today for residents whose recycling was scheduled for Monday. Residents whose recycling pickup is scheduled for Tuesday should still leave their recycling out on the curb. If it is not picked up today, it will be picked up Wednesday.

Because there are no trash pickups scheduled for Wednesday, the City will be able to use its trash pickup equipment to complete all of the remaining recycling pickups.

The City is in the process of buying new recycling trucks to supplement its fleet. The City will receive its first new truck later today, and it will receive another truck in about three weeks.

As a reminder, residents should always have their trash and recycling on their curbs by 7 a.m. on scheduled pickup days.
