In just a few hours right up the road in College Station, the prestigious Aggie 100 who seek to identify, recognize and celebrate the success of Aggie entrepreneurs from around the world, will release the names of their 100 winning companies at the 16th Annual Aggie 100 today at 4 pm today.

Aggie 100 is designed to honor the 100 fastest growing Aggie-owned or Aggie-led businesses in the world. In addition, Aggie 100 provides a forum to pass lessons to the next generation of Aggie entrepreneurs. "To be considered for Aggie 100, companies must meet specific criteria and operate in a manner consistent with the values and images of Texas A&M University," a recent Aggie 100 press release offers.

The honoree rankings will be announced during a public live-streamed awards celebration at 5:00 pm but we are excited to announce now that one of our local booming businesses, White Trash Services will be 1 of the 100 Aggie 100 recipients!

Owners and A&M graduates, the Nelsons have an awesome back story as entrepreneurs who developed a business based solely on a need they saw in their community.

The Nelsons who live in rural Victoria were unsatisfied with their city trash service and decided to make a change for good. In just a few short years, White Trash Services in Victoria expanded to include Goliad, Calhoun, Jackson, Dewitt, AND now Lamar and Lavaca County! One of our favorite quotes from BJ offers, " We started White Trash Services with two trucks and two tablets" she goes on to explain," Two writing tablets, now even computer tablets!"

Now they have a fleet of trucks and tons of computers as well as offering dumpsters and roll-off services! White Trash Services doesn't charge you for extra bags of trash during your weekly service either.

Customer service has always been key for the Nelsons who grew their business quickly in just a few short years, offering, "Do more for your customers than they expect so at the end of the day they can’t help but share their experiences with others."

Which is likely in line with what proud Aggie businesses feel as well.

Congrats to White Trash Services and all of the Aggie 100 recipients!

Be sure to watch the ceremony, here!
