J.J. Watt Foundation Raises Over $10 Million for Relief Efforts
Simply amazing. That's a great way to describe the outpouring of generosity of people contributing to the J.J. Watt Foundation for hurricane relief efforts for Houston and South Texas.
Texans defensive end J.J. Watt started a fundraiser with a goal of raising $200,000. That quickly grew, higher goals were set, and now that fund is over $10 million dollars. Amazing. Earlier this week, Watt said the trucks have already started on their journey, and will be there by this weekend.
Food, water, clothes, generators and other donated items are being sent to flood-ravaged areas, with lots more on the way. In a Facebook post, he said that he was going to use the money not only for Houston victims of Hurricane Harvey, but for all of south Texas.
