Houston Texans Become First Team in 20 Years to Make Playoffs After 0-3 Start
When the Houston Texans started off the 2018 NFL season, they never expected to lose 3-in-a-row right off the bat. That being said, prognosticators had pretty much written them off for the year, figuring that it was a tough road to come back from the deficit. Well, the team did the near impossible and came back in a big way, winning 9-in-a-row to reach the playoffs, and possibly win the division.
The team hasn't been as consistent, however, dropping the last 2 games, the last one against the Philadelphia Eagles, a game the Texans fought back in to take the lead, only to let the Eagles come back and win with a late field goal.
But, that was last week. Now, the Texans are preparing for the final game of the regular season when the last-place Jacksonville Jaguars come to town. With a win, the Texans will win the AFC South outright. Win or lose, they're going to the playoffs.
The Texans have made history with their comeback this season, being the first team in 20 years to make the playoffs after an 0-3 start, and only the 6th team to accomplish that feat since 1980.
