"It hurt my heart," Frank Pain, motorcycle enthusiast, and DJ/Operations Manager of Abiline from Townsquare Media, says at the beginning of his interview.

"With the pandemic, the looming election, and then the social unrest, 2020 has been such an unruly year. It hurt my heart, I had to take a break from social media. I had to do something," Frank offers sincerely.

His way to 'do something' is to advocate, educate, and raise local dollars for local minority scholarships in every town he will ride through in the weeks ahead.

The mission is called 'The Ride for Change' Riding Across Texas to Raise Money for Scholarships Benefiting Local Minority Students in Your Community," and the Crossroads can be part of this fundraising mission by offering their support as Frank rides into Victoria Texas, September 22nd

Frank will start the 1st Ride for Change on September 3rd through September 25th, visiting the great cities of Abilene, Lubbock, Amarillo, Lawton OK, Wichita Falls, Texarkana, Tyler, Kileen, Victoria, San Angelo, and Midland-Odessa.

100 percent of the money raised in each community will STAY in that community for their scholarship recipients.

Applications for these scholarships will be available soon. Victoria will have the opportunity to name the scholarship as well as choosing the recipients.

Local, local, local for a universal mission.

"This is about our future," Frank says as he prepares his 'Screaming Eagle' Harley for the mission ahead. "Now is the time to put action behind the hashtag "BeAGoodHuman."
