Throwback Thursday: The Original Presale Ticket Location

Back in the day, the Tejano scene was on fire in the Victoria area. Every weekend showcased some of the biggest names in La Onda Tejana. You would hear about the shows for weeks to pump you up for the show and for the biggest shows you could get presale tickets. In my opinion, there was only ONE presale ticket location in Victoria. PETE'S FINA MART!  I remember his door being covered with flyers of any and all Tejano shows happening in our area.

Pete's Fina Mart was convenient too, not only could you get a presale ticket for the big dance. You could sit down and enjoy a little popcorn, and fountain drink while getting a vehicle inspection and oil change. All this while you scratch a lottery ticket at one of their booths in the back of the store. Pete's Fina Mart definitely stood for Tejano music.

The old Pete's Fina Mart location is now a strip mall that features a Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Cindie's. However, I still consider that ground, Pete's Fina Mart. Pete Canales's name will live on forever for us Tejanos, here in Victoria!  Don't forget to get your presale tickets, my friends, and stay Tejano and Proud.
